Delicious, fragrant, fresh.
Poggio al Tufo has been owned by the Tommasi family since 1997; Tommasi owns estates in Valpolicella, Montalcio, Lombardy, Basilicata and Puglia. Rompicollo is made from Cabernet and Sangiovese.
Always a beauty of a red, the 2021 delivers seductive notes of dried roses and vanilla, cherries and star anise, cedar and pipe tobacco aromas. Lovely balance in the mouth, expect sweet ripe fruit and lofted acidity. It's medium-bodied, supple and delicious. A food or sipping wine, your choice, it's the whole package.
