This premium red from Pentage Winery above Skaha Lake near Penticton is a proprietary blend which includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. It is dark and austere pencil shavings and wild black berries, cocoa, spice and leather, tobacco and wild sage. The palate is showing age; lean and savoury with the fruit dropped off and more secondary flavours have now kicked in.
A worthy buy if you love aged wines, this one has been done for you.
