Made from Sangiovese vines up to 70-years-old aged in French oak of various size for 12 months and then another 24 months in bottle this outstanding red is swimming with pretty aromas of dried roses and cherry licorice, pipe tobacco and balsamic. Smooth and fresh with bouncy red fruit grounded by a firm and structured palate. Chalky tannins linger; the finish is persistent.
