Bodegas Franco-Espanolas 'Bordon' Crianza, Rioja, Spain
Readers rated this wine:
Fragrant, alluring, value.
This aged red is a blend of Tempranillo (80%) and Garnacha that was matured 12 months in American oak before bottling and receiving additional years in bottle. It's impressively youthful despite its age; alluring aromas of strawberry compote, vanilla and licorice, cherries and roses makes for a fragrant sniff. On the palate, dried strawberries, tealeaf and fine spice flavours lounge on a fresh but thoughtful palate. Great value, and a wine to pair with Spanish cheeses and tomato-based dishes. ©copyright 2019 Daenna Van Mulligen
