Slick, concentrated, spiced.
At more than 170 years old, Yalumba is the oldest family owned winery in Australia, home to one of the largest viticulture nurseries and the only winery cooperage in the country.
Yalumba was also the first to commercially plant Viognier in the Barossa Valley in 1980 when there was only an estimated 11-14 hectares in the world, primarily in Northern Rhone Valley.
For many wine lovers, this wine was their first taste of the Viognier variety.
It's a popular wine at a good price, which delivers waxy citrus notes woven with toasted ginger biscuits, brown spices, charred peaches, apple sauce and grilled lemons. It's slick in texture with good concentration and flavours of peach fuzz, salted grapefruit and ginger.
A delicious partner to spicy fish tacos or exotic Moroccan dishes.
