The Similkameen's original winery, Crowsnest Vineyards is a second generation Heincke family-run estate.
It's been a decade or longer since I've tried their wines and I have to say I was delighted to receive a box of samples to see what's happening with the wine program.
This blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Auxerrois doles out sour cherry, crab apple and wild red berry aromas oven with tangerine and tealeaf. It's off-dry and juicy with a cherry liqueur character along with earth, tobacco and wild berry flavours on the finish.
