Mt. Boucherie Family Estate Summit Reserve Blaufrankish, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Juicy, fruity, intriguing.
Mt. Boucherie is the largest family owned and run estate in BC with over 300 acres of vineyard in the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys. Blaufrankish is a obviously a rare variety but should not go unnoticed. It has a distinctly juicy nose - think strawberry rhubarb pie filling, pomegranates and wild berries with plenty of black pepper and finally tea leaf aromas. It has a smooth and fresh palate with cola spices layered with rhubarb, vanilla and pomegranates, like the nose. Intriguing wine with good length and well suited to a slight chill down. ©copyright 2015 Daenna Van Mulligen
