Road 13 'Seventy-four K', Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Significant, supple, savoury.
Made from Syrah and Merlot with a splash each of Malbec and Viognier, the Seventy-four K is named for the distance you would cover if you lined up all of Road 13's vines end-to-end and walked alongside them. It is a significant and complete wine, which provides aromas of wild berries, dried plums, sunbaked earth, brown spices, bacon fat, grilled herbs, carob and peppery spices. The fruit is more dominant in the mouth; juicy and sweet forest berries, baking spices, chocolate and pipe tobacco flavours roll in. It has a generous palate with a supple weight and long finish. ©copyright 2015 Daenna Van Mulligen
