Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery Merlot, British Columbia
Readers rated this wine:
Sweet, smooth, vibrant.
The grapes that make this Merlot come from the Similkameen, Okanagan Falls and the Black Sage Bench. It was aged for six months in French and American oak (25% new and 75% neutral). Plush notes of plum cake and pan seared cherries are woven with baking spices, licorice, vanilla, mocha and a fine sprinkling of white pepper. It's a supple and vibrant red with a chewy mi-palate which culminates in a smooth finish trailing pipe tobacco, mocha and sweet spice flavours. Balanced and tasty. ©copyright 2021 Daenna Van Mulligen
