Cuma

Argentina

Don David 'El Esteco' Reserve Malbec, Calchaqui Valley, Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Inky, fresh, savoury.
From vineyards 1800 MASL, this value wine screams premium thanks in part to its hefty bottle and it was aged 12 months in new oak barrels.
Inky purple fruit aromas are woven with charred spices, roasted herbs, salted rare meat, espresso and dark chocolate. It's medium-full bodied with a fresh entry and savoury spiced meat and wild black berry flavours. Definitely a savoury wine, with a smooth and woven character.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Parmesan & Rosemary

Readers rated this wine:
Inky, generous, fragrant.
From vineyards 1800 MASL, this value wine screams premium in it's hefty bottle. It was aged 12 months (70%) in French and American oak and the remainder in stainless steel.
Inky purple fruit aromas are woven with vanilla, violets, smoked spiced and bacon fat notes. It has an appealing sweet and fruity entry with smoke, spice, and dark chocolate flavours. Generous and mouthfilling it has good posture and balance overall.

Micel Torino 'Cuma' Organic Torrontes, Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Perfumed, racy, pristine.

Argentina's perfumed white grape is woefully under marketed in our market, I'd love to see more. The Cuma (means pure and clean in the Aymara peoples language) offers fantastic value.
Dried flowers and apricot, star fruit, grapefruit, lime and chipped stone aromas lead to a bracing palate of lime and peach stone. Bright and quaffable, it has a snappy pristine finish.
Pair: stronger cheeses, smoked sausage or salami or spicy curries and stir-frys.

Michel Torino 'Cuma' Organic Torrontes, Cafayate Valley, Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Pristine, perfumed, exotic.
Seriously fantastic value.
Argentina's white grape deserves much more attention than it's getting - it has such a lovely perfume. In this case, expect kaffir lime, ginger root, crisp white fruits, jasmine, grapefruit and a hint of white pepper. Crunchy and zesty on the palate with a long exotic spice and grapefruity finish.
Pair: stronger cheeses, smoked sausage or salami or spicy curries and stir-fry's.
