Dona Paula Estate Malbec, Uco Valley ,Mendoza Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Savoury, spiced, smoky.
Taking a step up in price from the Los Cardos range, the Estate Malbec provides a bit more structure. It is a savoury red, redolent in smoked meat and bacon fat, roasted coffee/mocha, leather and dusty plums melded with wild briary berries. Similarly succulent on the palate with leather and coffee and cocoa and spice with an earthy finish.
A structured red to partner with dense proteins like hard cheeses or grilled meats.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Parmesan & Rosemary

Dona Paula Rose, Mendoza Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Splashy, dry, balanced.
Made entirely from Malbec, this watermelon pink rose has splashy aromas of tangy blood oranges, strawberry, red cherry and dried roses. Dry and medium-bodied it is a solid style with heft and concentration, but also balanced with freshness. Earthy berry, spice and tealeaf flavours train across the finish.

Fern Walk Pinot Gris, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Pristine, perfumed, value.
It's been a few years since I tasted the Fern Walk wines, and I'm delighted to see this attractively priced Pinot Gris is showing so well.
Perfumed with peaches and apricots, orchard blossoms and honey notes, which lead to a pristine palate overflowing with expressive fruit flavours that leading to a tangy lime and grapefruit finish.
Nice value in this bottle.
Pair: smoked salmon, creamy fish dishes, chicken salad, mushroom ravioli.

Five Vineyards by Mission Hill, Chardonnay, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Value, nectarous, creamy.
The value conscious 5 Vineyards labels have evolved over the years and I think the look they have now is pretty spot on.
Creamed honey and buttery caramels, vanilla, pineapple, baking spiced and sugared nut aromas lead to a palate that is toasty and spiced, nutty and laden with sweet golden fruits. There is some residual here for sure, but you'll find value in this nectarous bottle.
