Casa Ermelinda Freitas 'Monte Da Baia', Setubal, Portugal
Readers rated this wine:
Generous, drinkable, value.
This blend of the Portuguese Castelao and Touriga Nacional varieties also has the addition of Syrah. It comes from the peninsula of Setubal, near Lisbon.
It offers amazing value and is both rustic and modern. Sweet and sweaty; plummy flavours are woven with bruised cherries, cocoa and sarsaparilla, dried rose petals and leather. There is generous sweet fruit on the palate; cherries and black raspberry, vanilla, baking spices and pipe tobacco. It's modern, bordering on jammy but is exceedingly drinkable.

Domaine Saint-Nabor Gris de Nabor Gris, Vin de Pays du Gard, France
Readers rated this wine:
Racy, tart, pristine.
Made from Grenache, Cinsault and Tempranillo (not a common blend), this beauty of a wine is produced by the Castor family of the Rhone Valley, an independent vigneron.
It has a brilliant salmon hue, with rose gold glints and offers pristine notes of peach stone, orange peel, honeysuckle and fine spices alongside tangy red berries and garrigue. The palate is equally tart and tangy and blessedly bone dry; crunchy fruit and sour cherry flavours play an integral part here, and it has a racy tealeaf finish. A year-round table wine, that wll work especially well with holiday meals. ©copyright 2017 Daenna Van Mulligen

Therapy 'Pink Freud' Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Confectionary, juicy, bright.
A cheeky play on words, as Therapy wines tend to, the Pink Freud is made from Merlot and Pinot Noir. Cranberry in colour, you can also expect a confectioner's shop of aromas; candied cherries, orange creamsicle, toffee and candied lilacs. The palate is juicy, spicy and sweet, but with a brightening burst of acidity to help tame it.
Pair with spicier dishes, ratatouille or grilled white meats.

Therapy Estate Vineyard Gewurztraminer, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Minimalist, intense, alive.
This Gewurztraminer is following the current humble trend of orange wines - those made with minimal intervention. It's been put through a natural fermentation and has extended skin contact, which acts as a natural preservative (and colour enhancer). The colour is peachy-copper and the nose offers apricot jelly, orange creamsicle, figs and desiccated roses, vanilla and star anise with a decent dose of honey. Phenolic textural palate is certainly aided by the additional skin contact, it is juicy and very intense but has a levity and thriving evolving palate. It tastes alive as opposed to many wines of this ilk. Worth seeking.

Therapy Vineyards 'Fizziotherapy' Blanc, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Fresh, fruity, floral.
Off dry and definitely fizzy, this sparkling blend is made from Chardonnay and the very fragrant Orange Muscat (14%). It is made in the charmat method, meaning the first and second fermentation occur in tank. It is fresh, fruity and floral on the nose, with orangeblossom honey. It is a moussey version deftly handled sweetness and a medium-length finish. ©copyright 2016 Daenna Van Mulligen
