A new winemaker - Karen Gillis - and new packaging too - the Red Rooster wines have received a positive makeover.
The 2007 Reserve Gewurztraminer has Alsace written all over it with tropical aromas of exotic citrus, Turkish delight, rose oil, honeysuckle, ripe peaches and just a hint of earthy mushroom. Clean, with the impression of dryness on the palate but the flavours still echo the sweet/exotic aromas - showing juicy mandarins, five-spice and ripe tropical fruit.
Great for sipping or paired with Paad Thai.
