Merlot....with a touch of Malbec.
I was impressed by Bellingham's sometimes unique blends when I tasted them in South Africa last fall.
Aromas of blueberry, black cherry, leather and plums and earthy/savoury smoked notes. Supple in the mouth, earthy/savoury flavours are prominent rounded out by spiced berries and cherry. A solid, well-made wine with fine, dusty tannins on the finish.
