A good value wine, full-bodied and powerful with aromas of blackberries, chocolate and bay leaf with toasted spice, hints of vanilla and crushed flowers and a core of savoury, smoked meaty tones. You'll find sweet, ripe berry fruit on the palate with loads of leathery and spiced flavours. It has good acidity and fairly coarse tannins that will benefit from decanting.
Pair with grilled meat or hearty bean and eggplant dishes.
