Sandhill Rose, Okanagan Valley BC, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
This is the first time Sandhill has made a rose and I'm happy to taste (and report to you) that they've made it in a structured, food-friendly style.
A blend of Gamay and Cabernet Franc the Sandhill features sweet aromas of summer berries and cassis with loads of spice. On the palate, the power is obvious, it’s very dry with flavours of berries, citrus and spice and tannins are present on the finish.
Pair with salad nicoise or white meats.
