This Gewurztraminer is made from grapes from a certified organic vineyard in Westbank. Although in most cases the grapes used in new producer Mistaken Identity's wines usually include some from their own certified organic estate vineyard, on Salt Spring Island.
The Gewurztraminer has good classic aromas of mango, orange blossoms, sweet lime and exotic spice with peach skin. Stone fruit comes through on the palate, it's soft and lightly spiced with a gently rounded texture. Spice lingers but the acidity to give lift and freshness is lacking.
